Love, Lust, Pink Pills and Ashley Madison

Love, Lust, Pink Pills and Ashley Madison

ADDYI Approved by FDA on Today

Little, Pink, Different!

As a VERY recently married Catholic, entrepreneur in the intimacy biz, with a penchant for romance, love, lust and learning how it all adds to healthy happy relationships, I was excited to post about the new libido enhancing pill that could help women regain desire after libido dips.

I eagerly watched over a morning cup of Ethiopian brew coffee as the CEO of Sprout Pharmaceuticals, Cindy Whitehead, spoke on Today about how women deserve to have physiological options as much as they have psychological ones to help improve the complex intimacy matrix of love, lust and life. That’s why she’s created the “female viagra”.

A complex system of love, sex, trust, desire, friendship and libido are what makes up intimacy

Just seeing a woman on Today talking about feminine sexual satisfaction gave me hope for our business and my company. It’s a start. Bravo! Thank you! I’ll be on Today before the year is out!

Per the company’s press release

“Raleigh, N.C. – August 18, 2015 – Sprout Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Sprout) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted approval of Addyi™ (flibanserin 100 mg) (pronounced add-ee), a once-daily, non-hormonal pill for the treatment of acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women. Addyi is the first and only FDA-approved treatment for this condition, the most common form of female sexual dysfunction, affecting up to 1 in 10 women in the United States.”

AND THEN THE ENTIRE MEDIA DAY GOT GOBBLED UP BY ASHLEY MADISON

Ashley Madison Homepage

This is one of those moments where, if I had one, my publicist might say one of two things.

1) Stay Quiet – we are a family friendly, relationship inspiring, love brand and we don’t get into cheating.

2) Get In On It – Can you get on Huff Post Live today??? Let’s talk about Cheating and how more intimacy might prevent it.

As I navigate this industry and look for ways to help with something that matters to and confounds us all, I am grateful for the innovators in industry and the biologists and sociologists who help us further understand what helps us all GET IT ON. Well done scientists!!! Thank you!

For cheaters and those who were exposed by Ashley Madison’s hack, my heart goes out to you. There are few things more challenging than withholding from your spouse those intimate and erotic needs you have. Expressing them could actually make your relationship better. I’ve lived through that kind of relationship and it is one of the very particular reasons I became a student of understanding love and intimacy.

If you are in an open relationship (more power too you, just not my style) I imagine you weren’t hunting on Ashley Madison and are thus not affected. For the 37 Million, 9 Million or 3 Trillion that were exposed today, (because the numbers keep changing) We are building a business and a community where you are given tools to share your intimate needs and desires with your mate in a healthy and happy way. Through our intimate products, our content and our application, we are changing the world of intimate conversation.

If the one you are with is not the one you can share with, let’s together rethink the relationship, the desires, and what passion means to you.

Our motto is a little different than Ashley Madison’s.

“Life is too short to be caught up in an affair.”

And bringing it ALL back to Addyi™ bravo to the innovators bringing the conversation of intimacy and sexual desire to the forefront. I applaud you Cindy Whitehead and I look forward to meeting you on Today soon.

Love,

Summers
